Lars Svensson, MD, PhD

Lars Georg Svensson, MD is Chairman of the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute, Director of the Aorta Center and Marfan Syndrome and Connective Tissue Disorder Clinic, Director of Quality and Process Improvement, and a staff cardiac surgeon in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He is also a professor of surgery at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.


Suma Thomas, MD

Suma A. Thomas, MD, MBA, FACC, is a noninvasive cardiologist in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Thomas is the Vice-Chairman of Operations and Strategy for the Cleveland Clinic’s Arnold and Sydell Miller Family Heart and Vascular Institute.


Edward Soltesz, MD

Edward Soltesz, MD, MPH, is a cardiovascular and heart transplant surgeon in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in Cleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Thoracic Surgery in general and cardiothoracic surgery.

Dr. Soltesz is the Program Director for Cleveland Clinic’s residency and fellowship training programs. He also is the Course Director for the American Austrian Foundation/Open Medical Institute Cardiac Surgery Medical Seminar held annually in Salzburg, Austria. Additionally, as the Director of Cardiac Surgery Affiliate Program Quality and Process Improvement at Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Soltesz oversees quality and outcomes of more than 15 affiliated programs and 45 surgeons.


Chris Bajzer, MD

Christopher T. Bajzer, MD, is a Staff Cardiologist in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic. He is board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. He specializes in coronary intervention, peripheral vascular intervention, and carotid and cerebrovascular intervention.


John Rickard, MD

John Rickard, MD, MPH, is a specialist in treating cardiac (heart) rhythm disorders in the Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology.

Faisal Bakaeen, MD, is a cardiac surgeon in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He is board-certified in surgery and cardiac and thoracic surgery.


Bruce Lindsay, MD


Dr. Bruce D. Lindsay is Section Head, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Cleveland Clinic. He served as President of the Heart Rhythm Society 2007-2008 and chaired the Heart Rhythm Society's Annual Scientific Program in Boston in 2006, which was attended by more than 13,000 international physicians, scientists, and allied health professionals. 


Brian Griffin, MD

Brian Griffin, MD, is a cardiologist in the section of Cardiovascular Imaging in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, in the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He is Section Head of Cardiovascular Imaging within Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and the institute’s Physician Director of Development.


Richard Grimm, DO


Richard Grimm, DO, is Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory and a staff cardiologist in the Section of Cardiovascular Imaging, the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, at the Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease. Dr. Grimm is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. 


Randall Starling, MD, MPH


Randall Starling, MD, MPH, is Head of the Section of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Medicine, the Medical Director of the Kaufman Center for Heart Failure and a Staff Cardiologist in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Cardiovascular Medicine, Operations.


Steven Nissen, MD

Steven Nissen, MD, is the Chairman of the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine located on the main campus of Cleveland Clinic. He was appointed in 2006. Prior to this, he served nine years as Vice-Chairman of the Department of Cardiology and five years as Medical Director of the Cleveland Clinic Cardiovascular Coordinating Center (C5), an organization that directs multicenter clinical trials.

Benico Barzilai, MD, is Head of the Section of Clinical Cardiology in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Heart and Vascular Institute.


Sean Lyden, MD

Sean Lyden, MD, is the Chairman of the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Vascular Surgery at Cleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute.  He serves as chief medical officer of Excelerate Strategic Health Sourcing, a venture between Cleveland Clinic and Viizient to save health care organizations money with a provider-led, physician-engaged sourcing.


Ravi N Nair, MD

Dr. Ravi Nair is a cardiologist in Cleveland, Ohio and is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic. He received his medical degree from Topiwala National Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years.His specialty interests are ischemic heart disease, advanced cardiac invasive diagnostic procedure, and coronary intervention.


Samir Kapadia, MD

Samar Kapadia, MD, is the Section Head of Invasive and Interventional Cardiology, the Director of the Sones Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, and Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program in the Robert and Suzanne Tomsich Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He is a Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Kapadia is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology.

Brian Fitzsimons, MD

Brian C. Fitzsimons, MD, is a Staff Anesthesiologist in the Department of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and is board-eligible for the National Board of Echocardiography.Dr. Fitzsimons' treatment interests are in anesthesia for complex vascular surgery, anesthesia for cardiac surgery and anesthesia for thoracic surgery.


Oussama Wazni, MD

Oussama Wazni, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Cleveland Clinic Section of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing. He is the Director of the Outpatient Electrophysiology Department and Co-Director of the Ventricular Arrhythmia Center. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. He specializes in electrophysiology with special interest in atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia ablation.
