Program Details

Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute’s Cardiac Registry Abstraction & Analytics Boot Camp is a multi-day program held at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Our leading registry experts will discuss registry best practices, definition education, data validation and accuracy, analytical feedback to clinical staff and physicians, and quality improvement initiatives based on registry outcomes. This two track curriculum is designed to be interactive and caters to the learning needs of members with varying levels of experience.

Who Should Attend

This program is designed for healthcare professionals involved in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) and/or American College of Cardiology’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR).

Amanda Lesesky, MHA, CLINICAL INFORMATION CONSULTANT, STRATEGIC OPERATIONS, MILLER FAMILY HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE AFFILIATE PROGRAM

Amanda Lesesky oversees the quality and registry management for the Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute affiliate, alliance and consulting relationships. Amanda is uniquely positioned to carry out both internal and external responsibilities for developing IT infrastructure, providing current state assessments at client sites, providing recommendations to improve outcomes data capture process and reporting of dashboards, staffingmodel recommendations and quality infrastructure improvement recommendations. Amanda has more than nine years of experience at Cleveland Clinic, with a focus on healthcare quality improvement, patient safety and clinical informatics consulting. She received her master’s degree in healthcare administration and has more than five years of experience within clinical risk management and patient safety.

Pam Goepfarth, MBA,DIRECTOR OF REGISTRIES, MILLER FAMILY HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE

Pamela Goepfarth has been the Director of Registries at Cleveland Clinic Heart & Vascular Institute since 2010. She has extensive clinical experience as a registered nurse in the cath and EP lab, and in post-op intensive care of open heart surgery patients. Pamela has a MBA in healthcare administration and a master’s in speech pathology. Her clinical cardiovascular experience in healthcare administration and informatics enabled her, along with an exceptional support staff, to develop and implement innovative processes in information flow to optimize quality and registry outcomes, maintain top national rankings and impact the revenue cycle and regulatory quality metrics through clinical documentation improvements. She has been working with the STS, ACC, and other cardiac registries since 1999.
